		As the director of the Modesto Independent Living Center, our agency is constantly seeking products that offer a way for people with disabilities to live independently and enhance their lifestyle. The Handi-Robe not only meets this criteria but addresses the issues of the caregiver as well. Finding adaptive clothing for people with disabilities is difficult because they have to be designed to actually work. This robe can be put on without having to stand up which makes it unique and innovative. This robe can be used by individuals, hospitals and care homes. 		The Handi-Robe revolutionizes the way patients are cared for by nurses and caregivers. As having been an administrator of my own facility I see the benefit as two fold. The wheelchair patients become more independent. This restores dignity to their everyday lives and their outlook improves because they feel more in control. My staff was not as tired at the end of the day because these robes lessened the need to lift patients. I believe this also cut down on workers compensation claims. The way it is designed in the back is ideal for people using walkers. I would highly recommend it to hospitals, care homes, hospice organizations and for use in physical therapy. I believe in this product so much I volunteered to be featured on the web page for the Handi-Robe. I am a competitive disabled water skier. I competed in the 1997 Water Ski Nationals and won spaces in 4 events. I have been a paraplegic since a car accident in 1979. I helped form the Alternative Water Ski Club and help other disabled people enjoy water sports. This robe is the only garment on the market for disabled water sports enthusiast and I wear it to all my events. When I come out of the water I need a garment that is absorbent and warm plus provides privacy if I need to get out of my swim wear. I also use my robe everyday for my own personal use at home. As a disabled woman this robe has been a blessing. Nothing on the market fits the overall unisex needs in disability apparel like this robe.
